**Songs in the Closet - The most beautiful love song you can sing to the Lord is the one that nobody hears.**

i am not, but i know I AM

Ok, so church last night was fantastic and really caught my mind. After P&W, we watched a short movie that was recorded during Chris Tomlin and Louie Giglio’s How Great Is Our God tour this past spring I believe. We watched Louie’s sermon on the universe - how vast and so big it is. I love science and astronomy (sleeping under the stars =D); mostly b/c it shows how incredibly awesome and huge God is (One of my fav. Books is I am not, but I know I AM, which talks a lot about that kinda stuff … I highly recommend it). It was a real eye-opener! I mean, come on - The heavens are telling the glory of God, and their expanse declares the work of His hands. Night after night they remind us of just how small we are, and how huge God is. Looking out into the far reaches of the universe, we find a seemingly infinite expanse of mystery and wonder, intricately fashioned b a God of unfathomable size and power. Just a glimpse of one of the billions of visible galaxies He has formed resizes us - no, shrikes us, and the world we call home, to a seemingly insignificance in an instant. But, I think the biggest thing that struck me was the fact that even though the universe is bigger than I can possible imagine or comprehend, my own body is a living miracle and just as complex! As tiny as we may seem, the God who knows every star by name Knows Yours and Mine! Talk about wow … So, here is pretty much the sum of what Louie talked about and he also included some pretty amazing pictures -

First off, Louie shows us a picture of M51 or the whirlpool galaxy astronomers call it the "darling of astronomy." Louie tells us two things about this galaxy in the deep reaches of space. 1.) Every second there are new stars being born. Millions of star incubators are found within the whirlpool galaxy. 2.) Not only that, but at the center of this galaxy is a black hole which the Hubble Telescope took a picture of...and wow, check this out:
The entire universe displays God's fingerprint and this is just one example...the cross of Jesus was on the mind of God even as he was creating the universe. Is that not incredible?!? Putting that picture back in our heads, Louie continued in the universe focusing on the stars with the purpose of showing us just how small we are and how BIG God is. Just to let you know, We serve a BIG God!! Louie took us to a few stars and put it into perspective: If the earth was a golf ball... The sun would be 15 feet in diameter Another star would be the equivalent of 6 empire state buildings Or 2 golden gate bridges

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_ifzlwJL8s

We are so very very small...Our significance is in our insignificance. God cares for us so much that his same fingerprint can be found within us. Louie then looked within the human body and showed us just how great our God is. When we are developing in our mothers womb...just for the eye to function a million nerve endings start to travel to the eye and another million from the eye to the brain, these nerve ending meet up and have to find their EXACT match in order for the eye to work...that is AMAZING to me.

Though he went into more details the "finale" of the talk was this…let’s talk about the “wows” … LAMININ - Every living creature has laminin inside of them...the purpose of laminin is that it basically keeps our bodies from falling apart. It holds we as one united whole. wanna see what laminin looks like??? I know you do.... check this out!
Pretty sweet huh? OK, I thought so at least. The cross is EVERYWHERE...it casts a shadow over the entire universe...constantly reminding us of what Jesus did for the world.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ejj51hNIL3E

words escaped my mouth the moment Louie put this on the screen so I will leave you with that...Laminin … wow. But as tiny as we may seem, the God who knows every star by name also knows yours, and mine. Your life is a miracle, and the creator of the universe knows you by name. God cares for you more than you can ever know - he knows you more than you could ever know yourself! He's big enough to breathe out stars, yet intricate enough to fashion together the trillions of cells that make up every facet of who you are. The God w
ho spoke the universe into existence made you, too, and knows everything about you. From the smallest molecule to the situation you find yourself in right now, He's aware of your circumstances and intimately acquainted with everything you do. And He cares about you and promises to carry you through.

That's where we find hope in the midst of the darkest places in life. The journey often complicated and painful, filled with confusion and chaos. Yet, the cross of Christ reveals God's promise to preserve and restore you no matter what the circumstance. God will not completely take life’s challenges away (although he can), but better yet, he gives you the strength to push on, to continue on t
hrough it all. He will hold onto you and hold you together, giving strength to those who hope in His unfailing love. He is the everlasting God!

**** So, in a nutshell pretty much that was what was talked about =D I guess it was kinda long, but I felt like it needed to be shared. I hope that this maybe encouraged, because it sure encouraged me. ~Psalm 33 ****

Updates!!!

Wow … it’s been quite a while since I’ve last wrote anything!!… I know that I should never have excuses or blame somebody else, but you do have to understand that I have been incredibly busy the last few months!
I don’t even know where to begin ... I have had a lot of “life-roller-coaster-rides”, which even though I hate them, they are creating me into the person I am. God has really been showing my some incredible things. So, let’s see where I should start … First of all I am now officially a high school senior! Yeah! My last year in high school … man, time really does fly. I can hardly believe it! I am ready though to move on and start something new in my life - at least I think I am. One of my older sisters moved into the student dorms downtown, and though she thought she was ready, she had several break-downs the night (and day) she was moving out … I don’t think that will happen to me, but it might.
Oh, that same sister is also courting a guy (dating with a purpose) … That was a change for me, and also one of my roller-coaster-rides. C.B. (the guy she’s courting) is absolutely amazing and has a true heart for the Lord, but it was slightly challenging for me to realize that my sister is getting older and God’s preparing her for her future … I am now realizing some things, and God is helping me tremendously.

My best friend (a.k.a., my older brother, DL) let for his 2nd phase in ALERT … that would be another reason for my RCR (I’m now going to use an acronym for Roller Coaster Ride … smart eh?! ). He’ll be back in November. Part of the 2nd phase for the guys was to go down to Miami and get certified for scuba diving, rescue diving, and open water diving…he said it was amazing when they went down about 60 feet one day!!So, my summer included lifeguarding 2-3 times a week at a local private pool, taught swimming lessons several weeks, playing the piano (coming along great! I am going to start playing for my church 1-2 times a month!), started volleyball the middle of august (home-school team of which I’m the oldest one on the team! ha), sleeping, cleaning the house, went to savannah for one 4-day-weekend (and went tubing on the savannah river!), had the worst birthday ever (but it could’ve been worse), went to whitewater, went to sox flags (twice this year, yeah!), helped my sis move to her dorm room, cried, met some new people, started French again, also met Erwin (one of MK’s and JA’s French friends who was here for 2 weeks), playing the guitar( I can pick!!), found out I love surfing, tried to figure out what I’m doing after my senior year, and who knows what else….

So I guess that’s my summer update right there…If you have questions please comment and let me know :)

Starting a new week....

So, it's the begging of a new week. I think this is going to be a much better one than the last week. Little Patriots is this weekend, I am very excited about it this year. I am a leader for the Georgia team. I'm excited about having two days off from being "mom." I had piano lessons this morning. I am sooo glad that my Sonatina Program is finally over! 14 songs was alot to memorize and have ready for a judge. I am now working on a piece from Pride and Prejudice, and also a classical piece, "Solfiggeto" (if I spelled it right). I guess I need to start working on a Senior recital now. I will think about that at a later date... Since I completed and passed the Sonatina auditions, I am now an international member of the NPPA/NCSM/PHW!! Whew, that really took alot of endurance, hard work, and determination but I am glad that I did the SP! I have a soccer tournament this weekend as well. I have practice tonight and Thursday. I have to say that my team is doing pretty good. We got to play in the rain, and mud :], Thursday - oh what fun! I got rather muddy, but it was a lot of fun! I went looking for a dress for MGAOT (When I WAS going to do the pageant anyways). I found some dresses that I really liked. I like this one most out all the ones I tried on:

Maybe I can use it in Miss GA Teen USA 2008 Pageant in November. I liked this one b/c it's different than all the other ones out there... =)

(HAHA....Ok, and this one: well, I have a funny story about it - thus the face! It's an amazing dress, but I couldn't get into it....mwhahaha, oh goodness!! I'll post the story later)

Saturday ...

So, I am feeling pretty upset and I'm not sure what God's plan is, but I like the following and know I'm in his hands....

Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous??
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." – Marianne Williamson 1994

Express your own worth and don't be like anyone else. You don't need exceptional knowledge or lofty philosophical concepts - just demand the right to be you. And express how blessed you are by living your life to the fullest, respecting others, and loving yourself. ~SLR
